The session was called by H.E Dr. KK Paul, Governor of Uttarakhand while expressing his deep concern on the depletion and deterioration of Nainital Lake. The session started by explaining the current concern about depleting Nainital and the urgent need for scientific interventions for the same.
The session was attended by many experts, scientists, representatives from the administration, researchers and policymakers.
