7th RST Forum

The 7th R.S. Tolia Forum, organized by SDFU on 11th December 2024 at the IRDT Auditorium, Dehradun, focused on “Networking for Sustainable Development and Youth Empowerment in Uttarakhand.” The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Rajshekhar Joshi, VC SIETU, and the 7th RST Lecture was delivered by Ms. Jyotsna Sitling (IFS Retd.)

Organized in support with Himmotthan Society, Doon Library and Research Centre, Nainital Bank, and NIUA, the event brought together government officials, policymakers, academics, entrepreneurs, and NGOs, including the Integrated Mountain Initiative (IMI), SIETU, State Tourism Department, JICA Project, Tapish Solar, BSR Farms Resort, Johar Sports Club, Jivisa, Himalayan Haat, Waste Warriors Society, Village Ways Team, and SARG Vikas Samiti. Key discussions revolved around Successful Sustainable Initiatives in Uttarakhand, Successful Youth based Business Ventures and Entrepreneurship and a Panel Discussion on Policy related to Sustainable/Green Enterprise. The forum reinforced collaborative strategies for empowering youth in sustainable development, generating insights to shape future policy and action plans for Uttarakhand.
