Focus Areas
To ensure that SDFU work is focused on issues that are locally
relevant and require urgent attention of development agencies and
policymakers, SDFU has engaged in state-based agencies, policy
makers and experts who have driven the processes of deliberations
in their respective states. Building on their inputs the following
have emerged as the key areas of concern of Uttarakhand mountain.

Water
Sustainable Habitats
Community Based Innitiative
Cross-cutting through these themes are climate change, which has
drastically impacted all aspects of life of mountain communities,
and youth & entrepreneurship, which are key in finding innovative
solutions to these problems across different sectors.
