Dr. RS Tolia Memorial Lecture

Dr. RS Tolia founder of IMI and SDF Uttaranchal left the earthly world after fighting liver cancer on 06th December 2016. The news was a shock to all and left hundreds of his colleagues, friends and co-workers heartbroken.

SDFU organized a memorial on the afternoon of 20th December 2016 for Late Dr RS Tolia. The meeting was attended by colleagues, friends, members of extended families, members of the community and press officials. The program was also attended by councilors of IMI Shri PD Rai (Former ML, Sikkim), Shri Sushil Ramola (Former President, IMI), Smt Fantry Jaswal (Arunachal Pradesh), Shri Alemtemshi Jamir (Nagaland). State government leader Shri Munna Singh Chauhan, SDFU councilor Prof AN Purohit, Smt Vibha Puri Das, Dr RP Dobhal, Dr. BK Joshi, Shri STS Lepcha were present along with several officials from the state government too attended the gathering. It was a somber occasion but it in a way strengthened a unique bond among all of Dr RS Tolia’s team. The program started with a multimedia show created on Dr. RS Tolia by SDFU and was followed by a string of speeches by people present there. The speeches were full of respect, sorrow, heartfelt, condolences and benevolence for the departed soul who touched the lives in some way or the other of each present in the hall.
